Why is my transmission slipping when accelerating?

Lately, I noticed my car’s transmission is slipping when I try to accelerate, especially from a stop or when merging onto the highway. The engine revs up, but the car doesn’t pick up speed smoothly. I checked for any check engine lights, but none appeared. What could be causing this issue and how should I go about fixing it?

Transmission slipping during acceleration is often caused by low or dirty transmission fluid, worn-out clutch plates, or a failing torque converter. It’s best to check the fluid level first and consult a mechanic if the issue persists.
